First of all, they are made of a different material. In order to create moulds we use a special aluminum alloy named Ceral etc. Our moulds are much faster and cheaper in production, although they have some geometric limitations - we are not able to produce e.g. tall poles with small diameters on the mould, because they can be bent or cut during the injection process. Apart from the material used to make the mould, our work is no different from that of a traditional tool shop.

A lot depends on the geometry of the part. Injection moulds are made as standard with an accuracy of +/- 0.1mm. For moulded parts (plastic parts) it is safe to assume an accuracy of +/- 0.3 mm (which results from shrinkage of the selected material). At the customer's request, it is possible to produce parts with increased accuracy of +/- 0.1 mm, however, such requirement should be clearly specified already at the stage of quotation. The accuracy of dimensions is determined by the geometry of the element, the correctness of the design (technological compatibility in terms of pressure injection) and its dimensions.
